About Monica

Monica has always demonstrated an adventurous spirit in cooking. At nine, she attempted to make crossiants; a spectacular failure for a beginning baker. Undaunted, she perserved and now is an accomplished baker and chef.

A graduate of a Paris Graphic Design School, Monica spent several years at a large advertising agency. In 2000, together with her sister, Monica opened a combined café and cookbook store in Stockholm, Sweden. She never imagined that turning her hobby into her profession would result in such success.

Monica now combines her passion for food with her graphic design talents. In addition to developing the recipes, she has designed each of her best-selling, award-winning cookbooks. Monica also creates recipes and does photo shoot food styling assignments for magazines.

When not experimenting in the kitchen, Monica enjoys gardening and rock climbing. If forced to select her favourite food it would be an hard choice between chopped liver or chocolate glazed donuts.
